Work within a small team of nursing faculty to provide nursing students the didactic, lab, and clinical education needed to pass the NCLEX-RN national exam and thereafter serve as competent registered nurses in a clinical setting.
Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction to nursing students using both on-line and seated didactic instruction.
Provide demonstrations of laboratory equipment and procedures; oversee student practice, and evaluate the competency of student performance.
Oversee and evaluate the performance of students while in their clinical externships.
Evaluate student performance on a regular basis.
Establish and maintain office hours for student and peer consultations.
Assist in maintaining compliance with all safety and national program accreditation standards.
Participate in the provision of professional service on the program, department, college, university, or state levels.
Registered Nurse; holding a Master's Degree; at least three years of clinical experience; at least one year of teaching experience.
At least six years of clinical experience; at least three years of teaching experience on the college or university level.
