Faculty Non-Tenure Track

Primary Purpose

Work within a small team of nursing faculty to provide nursing students the didactic, lab, and clinical education needed to pass the NCLEX-RN national exam and thereafter serve as competent registered nurses in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction to nursing students using both on-line and seated didactic instruction.

  • Provide demonstrations of laboratory equipment and procedures; oversee student practice, and evaluate the competency of student performance.

  • Oversee and evaluate the performance of students while in their clinical externships.

  • Evaluate student performance on a regular basis.

  • Establish and maintain office hours for student and peer consultations.

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with all safety and national program accreditation standards.

  • Participate in the provision of professional service on the program, department, college, university, or state levels.

Minimum Qualifications

Registered Nurse; holding a Master's Degree; at least three years of clinical experience; at least one year of teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

At least six years of clinical experience; at least three years of teaching experience on the college or university level.

Posting Number: req691 9 Month Faculty Tenure Track College of Arts and Letters Pocatello - Main Primary Purpose This announcement will be used to fill two (2) vacant positions, all applications will be considered for both opportunities. One of the positions requires two (2) years post MSW practice experience, however this experience is a preferred qualification for the second position. These positions are responsible to teach in the social work program with a primary assignment to the MSW program; advise MSW students; engage in scholarship to promote the profession of social work and support the accreditation of the MSW Program.
