Working Title Instructional Technology Specialist II Brief Summary of Job Description

This position will be responsible for leading and managing learning technologies and learning spaces support at the University of Nebraska Kearney.

Job Duties

• Coordinate project development and implementation in alignment with University strategic objectives.

• Lead and promote learning technologies and spaces initiatives in collaboration with academic, administrative, and functional units.

• Contribute to enterprise academic technology software projects, implementations, and support.

• Manage and support audio visual projects, implementations, and support. Manage and support business intelligence initiatives and integrations related to academic technology.

This position will uphold the ITS core principles of outstanding collaboration and communication, a drive to succeed, a passion for higher learning, and acting with integrity.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Media, Education, Library, or related area

3 years of audio visual systems experience to include designing systems, supporting systems, gathering feedback from faculty, and establishing learning space technology standards

• Demonstrated knowledge of information technology and its use in education, research and support

• Sound knowledge of managing Learning Management Systems

• Working knowledge of computer software/hardware including expertise in presentation, video, and audio (both Windows and Mac)

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of learning space design

• Demonstrated project management experience

• Supervisory experience

• Experience in a higher education environment

• Post-secondary teaching experience

• Experience working with multiple outside contractors

Physical Demands Schedule Monday

• Friday 8am

This position report to the University of Nebraska System and are posted as a courtesy. Applications will not be accepted at this site. This position has a minimum annual salary of $61,400 and is located on the Kearney campus.
