All new Henry County Schools' educators are required to attend Educator Launch - July 18-24, 2024.

Essential Duties:

• Assist teachers and administration in developing curriculum materials that facilitate the implementation of the school improvement plan and school system goals.

• Assist teachers in promoting integration of technology into the day-to-day activities of the classroom.

• Serve on school system technology committees to assist in identifying instructional needs and develop technology plans and actions.

• Participate in system and local training to increase technology skills and proficiency related to the ITS duties and responsibilities.

• Ensure that school and system technology activities support school system goals and the technology plan.

• Assist in the evaluation of technology regarding classroom instruction, student learning and system initiatives; periodically report progress towards goal attainment.

• Demonstrate the ability to maintain a positive professional working relationship with educators at all school levels.

• Provide on-site assistance for school system technology initiatives.

• Design and deliver meaningful and effective professional learning opportunities necessary to build capacity for technology enabled learning that support the system and schools' continuous improvement plans.

• Model and coach research-based effective instructional strategies that effectively integrate technology in classrooms.

• Collaborate with schools in the delivery of information and technology services to provide a concerted effort in implementing the instructional needs in the school.

• Collaborate with district leadership to ensure the effective use of technology to promote teaching and learning.

• Assist with district initiatives and technology projects to ensure the successful implementation and adoption.

• Assist with the development and implementation of the district strategy for the effective use of media and digital learning resources.

• Attend scheduled system technology meetings and trainings, as assigned.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Hold or be eligible for a minimum of a T-4 (Bachelor's level) Georgia Educator Certificate.

• Prior experience in the development and delivery of technology-related professional learning opportunities that

• support system and school instructional technology training needs.

• Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience resulting in an extensive repertoire of knowledge of best

• instructional practices and successful technology integration.

• Prior experience working with technology in an educational setting.

• Ability to work well with students, staff, and the public.

• Exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, excellent character, and strong professional reputation.

• Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.

• Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.

• Ability to be present at the physical worksite.

• Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.

• Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.

• Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
