Instructional Technology Integration Specialist
Position Purpose
The Instructional Technology Integration Specialist will play a pivotal role in facilitating the seamless integration of technology into teaching and learning practices across all grade levels, from kindergarten to 8th grade. This individual will collaborate with educators, administrators, and staff to design, implement, and support innovative instructional strategies that leverage technology to enhance student engagement, learning outcomes, and digital literacy skills.
Performance Responsibilities
Support staff technology needs as determined
Provide technology integration support for individual teachers, grade-level teams and school faculty
Provide classroom instructional support for teachers through co-teaching, modeling, and providing feedback
Research useful technologies, trends, teaching strategies and best practices for teachers
Assist in preparing for district initiatives such as and online student assessments
Provide differentiated professional development training opportunities for District staff including school improvement days and staff meetings
Willingness to perform duties in accordance with the Board of Education and District requirements
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology and Director of Curriculum
Essential Performance Responsibilities
Uses, analyzes, and reflects on data to improve teaching and learning
Demonstrates use of data-informed decision making and formative use of data to inform instruction
Builds strong relationships with teachers, administrators, and other professional staff
Assists teachers in developing, testing, and implementing research based instructional strategies that will impact student growth
Fosters professional learning using data, classroom walk-throughs, peer observation, and action research
Provides strong leadership and team-building skills, ability to focus a group of adult learners around a clear goal, then monitor progress toward that goal
Assists teachers with resources, materials, tools, information to support classroom instruction and planning
Additional Duties
Participate in building leadership meetings and data discussions, as appropriate
Provide support for new teachers and assist with the mentoring program
Continue to acquire professional knowledge and learn current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting action research
Attend summer training sessions, as applicable
Develop and administer curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives
This position may require compensated services beyond the contractual school day and year

Equipment
Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
Travel Requirements
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Works in standard office and school building environments.

Qualifications Profile
A valid Illinois Professional Educator License
Technology Specialist endorsement (or willingness to acquire)
Education
Experience
Classroom experience preferred (at least two years)
Extensive experience with collaboration and purposeful curricular planning/technology integration with classroom teachers (elementary buildings) and content area teachers (middle school)
Must have the ability to work with users that have varying levels of knowledge and skills. Must demonstrate proficiency with a variety of technologies, integration and quality instruction. Must possess strong leadership and communication skills as well as being self-motivated, enthusiastic and patient.
Experience providing professional development to staff, administration, and parents
