The Bibb County School District is now accepting applications for Instructional Technology Coach. Summary Description of Classification:

The role of an Instructional Technology Coach (ITC) is to model and create innovative uses of technology in a standards-based classroom while promoting engagement for increased student achievement, teach the necessary pedagogy for integration of technology in a K-12 learning environment, write exemplary technology-infused lessons, train BCSD instructional and productivity applications, learn and support new technologies to assist with personalized learning, and develop new technology-relevant course offerings for certified and classified staff. Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills: Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and perform with a sense of urgency.

Utilize excellent communication skills both written and oral. Posses and exhibits a positive, professional work ethic at all times. Possess a broad knowledge of technology integration strategies for multiple curriculum areas with a successful history of integrating technology in a face-to-face and virtual classroom setting.

Possess a current working knowledge of BCSD adopted instructional applications i.e. Canvas LMS, Microsoft Office 365, SAFARI Montage, and SMART/Lumio Technologies as examples. Possess a working knowledge of district adopted technologies, i.e. laptops, interactive flat panels, Audio Enhancement and classroom cameras, 1:1 laptops and iPads, etc. as well as a working knowledge of all current ISTE standards.

Ability to train varying levels of users (beginner, intermediate, advanced); train and instruct in a manner that is constructive to all audiences (adults, students, peers, and parents). Demonstrate technology integration skills by creating and teaching a model, technology-integrated lesson in one of the four primary content areas. Ability to troubleshoot end-user devices that are normally found in a BCSD classroom setting, i.e. Windows OS on laptops, Apple OS on iPads, ClearTouch flat panels, software applications, Audio Enhancement and classroom cameras, and cabling/connectivity/wifi issues.

Education, Training, and Experience: Requires a Bachelor's Degree in education from an accredited college or university holding a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate. Additional degrees in Instructional Technology and/or a Master's degree are preferred.

Holding endorsements recognized in Georgia are a plus. Must have a minimum of four (4) years of successful experience as a classroom teacher. TKES evaluations may be requested for review.

Must be proficient with the Windows operating system and Microsoft products. A working knowledge of Apple devices and iOS on iPads is a plus. Must have successful experiences teaching faculty, staff and/or adults, preferably with the integration of technology in a formal setting.

Must be able to have flexible work hours to offer after school/evening/weekend courses both virtual and face-to-face. Must be willing to work 6-10 days, under a service agreement, during the summer to train new technologies. Must have a valid Georgia Motor Vehicle operator's license.

Experience with grant writing preferred. Certificate and License Requirements: Technical Degrees and/or certifications will be considered a plus.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Paid overtime: No Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide leadership for the integration of technology as a learner tool in the classroom across the district. Create, teach, and manage technology trainings as requested by school-level and Central Office personnel. Write and model exemplary technology-connected lessons in the classroom with teachers.

Create and conduct virtual trainings and self-help resources (video tutorials, handouts) for BCSD employees. Create, train, and support district trainings for new solutions and application adoptions. Learn new technologies on your own and in a formal training setting (example: screen capture software) to best deliver just-in-time training and support to all stakeholders.

Enhance personal learning by staying current on research and literature as it relates to the latest emerging technologies in K-12 education. Write technical documentation and create tutorials for trainings, program reference, and maintenance. Develop and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with all BCSD employees.

Ensure the highest level of customer service to all BCSD stakeholders. Collect data on technology integration across the district as well as on personal tasks and work activities; submit data daily, weekly, and/or as directed by the Director of Instructional Technology. Work closely with all Technology Services personnel; primarily the Instructional Technology division personnel and the Director of Instructional Technology.
