Instructional Technologist

Reports to: Director for Extended Learning

Summary

The Instructional Technologist consults and supports faculty and students in the design, development, and implementation of virtual learning services and spaces for teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

Technology Management and Support

• Administer the Learning Management System (Blackboard).

• Provide technical support for online and hybrid classes and technologies.

• Provide training and support for faculty in all online and educational technologies adopted by Williston State College.

• Provide training to faculty and students regarding online and interactive video technologies.

• Provide classroom interactive video technology support for instructors and students.

• Train faculty on developing course shells for online and hybrid offerings.

• Administer course evaluations and provide reports to Director for Extended Learning and Faculty Chairs.

• Assist with basic library operations.

• Assist with test proctoring for online students.

• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Self-starter with strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills

Minimum Requirements

• Associate degree

• Experience with

• Learning management systems

• Training others utilizing educational technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree

• Experience with Blackboard

• Experience with:

• Instructional design

• Web conferencing

• Technology training

• Technical support

Benefits

Status: Full-time, Non-exempt, 12-month position

Compensation: $50,000 - $56,000 annually, depending on relevant experience.
