The Instructional Technologist promotes and supports academic technologies for teaching and learning and the integration of innovative learning technologies. In this position, the Instructional Technologist will work with faculty and staff to design, develop, and evaluate instructionally effective technology-enhanced strategies based on established learning objectives.
A hands-on position, the Instructional Technologist will act directly to assist faculty and programs with these technologies. The Instructional Technologist will collaborate with program teams to analyze their curricula and identify areas where the use of academic technologies could enhance the student learning experience. In this role, the Instructional Technologist will serve as a change agent and work with teams to explore how academic technologies could allow them to more effectively and efficiently reach audiences and disseminate research-based information.
Works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administration to plan, design, develop, document, and test development of new and revised online and blended courses. Designs instructionally effective technology-enhanced strategies for meeting learning objectives and work with faculty and staff to implement these strategies. Assess outcomes of instructional solutions and strategies.
Contributes to planning academic technology development, including researching, exploring and evaluating emerging academic technologies. Contributes to appropriate knowledge-base. The Instructional Technologist is a member of the educational technology division of the University.
The Technologist will report to the Director of Educational Technology. In addition to working closely with members of the faculty (individually or as a group),#s/he may also work collaboratively with other member of Information Services, staff and students.

Education Master#s degree in instructional design/technology or equivalent appropriate academic preparation Experience Three to Five years relevant experience in an educational or training setting Skills Comprehensive knowledge of educational/instructional technology, software, and multimedia development on various platforms.
Demonstrated experience in collaborating with faculty in course development. Proficiency with relevant computer programs and tools: Moodle, video editing, Google apps, HTML, scripting languages, graphics editing 1 software, and web conferencing.12627
