Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has a current job opening for a part time on call Instructional Systems Designer in Warrenton, VA.
Performs required analysis, design, development, and evaluation to successfully implement new or redesigned courses for technical training. Assists in the technology-based redesign of courses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Defines instructional, learning, or performance objectives.
Develops instructional materials and products for technology-based redesign of courses.
Designs learning products, including web-based aids or electronic performance support systems.
Provides analytical support for the design and development of training curricula, learning strategies, educational policies, or courseware standards.
Interviews subject matter experts or conduct other research to develop instructional content.
Designs instructional aids for blended or online use.
Conducts needs assessments and strategic learning assessments to develop the basis for curriculum development or to update curricula.
Develops instructional materials, such as lesson plans, handouts, or examinations.
Develops instruction or training roadmaps for online and blended learning programs.
Develops measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction or training interventions.
Researches and evaluates emerging instructional technologies or methods.
Edits instructional materials, such as books, simulation exercises, lesson plans, instructor guides, and tests.
Teaches instructors to use instructional technology or to integrate technology with teaching.
Recommends changes to curricula or delivery methods, based on information such as instructional effectiveness data, current or future performance requirements, feasibility, and costs.
Provides technical advice on the use of current instructional technologies, including computer-based training, desktop videoconferencing, multimedia, and distance learning technologies.
Observes and provides feedback on instructional techniques, presentation methods, or instructional aids.
Develops master course documentation or manuals according to applicable accreditation, certification, or other requirements.
Provides technical support to clients in the implementation of designed instruction or in task analyses and instructional systems design.
Bachelors degree in related field, with course work in instructional design and development
3 years job experience.
SECRET level security clearance
Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens
Expertise in TRADOC or NAVEDTRA 130/136 training development processes
eLearning development capabilities
Experience with responsive web development or device-neutral web design.
Experience with SCORM 2004 4th edition conformant learning object design and development.
Experience with design of development of IMI level 3 and 4 e-Learning content for technical training
Frequent sitting, standing, feeling with hands, reaching with arms.
Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
Occasional lifting up to 20+ pounds.
