Position: Instructional System Designer Intern
Hours of Work:
Full-time, Non-exempt

In This Role, You Will…
Contribute to the buildout of training and development projects focused on the following: onboarding new employees, supervisory training, soft skills, and HR and Compliance Programs. Create training materials including videos, guides, audio, participant materials, and job aids using PowerPoint, Articulate, and video and audio editing and publication software with direction from management. work Partner with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to align and design training to meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
Facilitate the planning and designing of engaging content to industry's standards using appropriate e-learning methodology.
Collaborate with trainers and SMEs on improvements to learning materials and recommend new and innovative ways of delivering content.
With direction from management, develop content using the Articulate and Adobe suites.
Assist with LMS functions including maintaining and updating learning materials, courses, and curricula.
Assist Training Managers on use of the system's self-serve functionalities such as reporting and dashboards.
Perform and present research at manager's request. May perform additional functions depending on market demand and staffing in order to provide consistent quality customer service.
Required Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology or related field or other related discipline with the desire to develop a career in one of these fields.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Adobe and Articulate suite knowledge.
Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing, with vendors, service dealers, customers, and all levels of company staff.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to multi-task, change direction, effectively prioritize, and meet deadlines with both local and remote staff.
Highly-motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous learning, actively seeking out opportunities to acquire new skills and stay knowledgeable of industry trends.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams across and at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project administration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters' level student in the disciplines of Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology or related field or other related discipline.
Experience working in a corporate setting within Learning & Development with demonstrated success meeting deadlines
Familiarity with instructional design and digital learning products.
Experience or coursework in the development of educational materials.
Understanding of graphics manipulation and design, sound, and video elements.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds.
