We are seeking an enthusiastic professional Instructional Specialist-Residential/Journeyman Electrician who is passionate about cultivating the school's mission and objectives through student instruction, guidance and review in order to ensure successful development of each student.
This position is a full-time position for the Lewisburg location and will report directly to the Dean of the Department. The position will work collaboratively with management, faculty and staff within the department and college to serve the best interests of the students.
Job Summary
The Residential Electrician Instructor at our college is responsible for imparting knowledge and skills in the field of residential electrical systems. The instructor plays a crucial role in guiding students through both theoretical and practical aspects of electrical work in residential settings. This role aligns with the school's mission and values, emphasizing development and learning-centered education. The Residential Electrician Instructor will report to the Dean of Workforce, Technical, and Community Education Programs. Some responsibilities and authority of the Dean will be delegated to the Department Chairperson. The instructor is expected to work cooperatively with the Department Chairperson and other faculty members in the best interest of the college and its students.
Examples of Duties
Responsibilities for the role of Residential/Journeyman Electrician Instructor include:
Guiding and mentoring students who are pursuing careers as residential electricians.
Participating in recruitment activities to attract students to the Residential Electrician
Program.
Implementing effective strategies to enhance student retention and success in the program.
Staying updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in residential
electrical work through continuous professional development.
Contributing to the college and community through service and outreach initiatives.
Actively participating in committee work related to the Residential Electrician Program.
Developing and evaluating the curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards and equips
students with relevant skills.
Specific tasks include:

Academic Requirements:
Vocational/Workforce instructors must possess a minimum of an associate degree in their teaching field from an accredited institution or as required a valid licensure in that field. Instructors may be assigned to courses in which they possess a combination of educational and practical experience.
