The Program Specialist Special Education provides support and assistance to special education teachers and to school site administrators in the delivery and management of special education programs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Appropriate Administrative Services Credential REQUIRED • Appropriate Special Education Credential REQUIRED • Post graduate work in special education, school administration, curriculum and instruction, or a related field • Successful experience as a classroom teacher in a special education setting • Progressively responsible experience in providing leadership in a school or district setting • Training or experience in conflict resolution and group facilitation • Bilingual Spanish is an asset, but not required. • Experience monitoring students in Non-Public Schools and Mental Health Programs is an asset.
