JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The John A. Dutton Institute for Teaching and Learning Excellence in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences (EMS) invites candidates for the Instructional Production Specialist position.

The Instructional Production Specialist provides administrative, technical, and production support to the members of the Dutton Institute learning design team and other members of the EMS teaching and learning community; manages, maintains, and updates course information including schedules, assignments, assessments, and learning resources within online management systems; and provides input in the selection and enhancement of learning applications.

  • Support all administrative, technical, production, and project management aspects of repeat, revision, and new course development cycles

  • Utilize course management system tools to set up assessments, assignments, syllabi, course materials, exams, media, links, and learning resources as directed by the learning designer

  • Prepare third-party educational tools and applications for instructor use

  • Execute material identification and migration between systems, permission requests for copyrighted materials, and course accessibility processes

  • Provide quality control for course content including graphics, links, and web pages; support instructional design teams with formatting, embedding, and web editing tasks

  • Participate in the enhancement of processes and tools used in support of course development

  • Monitor course accessibility requests for World Campus students

  • Initiate and track intellectual property agreements for college-designed online courses

  • Support student evaluation process for World Campus-delivered courses

  • Identify, research, pilot, evaluate, and implement new educational technologies

Education and Experience

This position requires a High School Diploma/GED or Vocational Training/Degree. A degree or experience in instructional design, educational technology, education, or related field is preferred.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Typically, this position will be expected to be on campus three days a week and have the flexibility to work remotely two days a week. The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$31,600.00 - $45,800.00
