Preference given to qualified PSE of NK members.
IMPORTANT: Additional $2.17/hour translator pay - depending upon the language in which the paraeducator is proficient, this additional pay will either be applied for the full day OR be paid for specific times via timesheet. Spanish language proficiency preferred.
Regular position: Instructional Paraeducator providing English Language Development instruction to EL learners.
Will interpret and translate for families whose first language is not English.
Will work collaboratively with a team, using data, to provide tiered EL services.
Translation services will be embedded throughout the day.
This position serves several school sites.
Anticipated assignment: Teaching and Learning - working with elementary schools throughout the district.
Anticipated work breakdown: 6.0 hrs/day x 180 days/year.
Anticipated schedule: TBD. Hours may be 50 minutes shorter on Wednesdays due to early release schedule
Anticipated start date: September 2024.

Benefits
Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours an employee is anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 - August 31). This position is anticipated to meet the requirement of 630 hours of employment in a school/fiscal year to qualify for benefits.
