Hours are Monday-Friday with possible Saturday assignments. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.

  • Successful completion of physics and other physical science laboratory related courses.

  • Experience in setting up, preparing physics and astronomy laboratory experiments.

  • Experience in calibrating, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining laboratory equipment.

  • Experience with computer guided telescopes, including cameras and imagers, 3D printers and associated software, computer-based physics labs, electronic testing equipment and microcontrollers.

  • Experience in maintaining laboratory records and monitoring budget expenditures using computer software.

  • Experience in maintaining effective working relationships within a team while also being able to work independently.

  • Experience with supporting outreach events.

  • Experience with supporting co-curricular activities in STEM and/or experiential learning.
