Overview

Under minimal supervision, designs and/or retools instructor-led, online, and blended training programs to improve performance and drive organizational objectives, culture, and compliance. Cultivates and maintains collaborative professional relationships with Enterprise Learning's customers to analyze learning and performance needs

Responsibilities

  • Conducts needs assessments to ensure all development materials are focused on addressing customer needs and closing business performance gaps. Demonstrate competency and expertise by achieving buy-in for output from the needs analysis, including development project plans and associated budgets involved from executive decision makers

  • Designs and builds program and course assessments aligned with defined business needs to measure effectiveness of materials and delivery strategy. Measures will extend beyond the classroom to ensure knowledge transfer and achievement of business results

  • Designs multimedia solutions for all collateral such as motion graphics, graphic design, print, presentation, html, email and video

  • Identifies most effective ways to communicate messaging in print and related media using color, type, illustration, photography, animation and other layout techniques

  • Evaluates, designs and develops learning and delivery strategies including leader guides, participant guides, learning activities, reference guides or job-aids, storyboards, video scripts, design documents, eLearning modules, pre-work, post-work, and train-the-trainer materials to facilitate learning, promote behavioral change and drive organizational performance goals by applying sound instructional practices and design

  • Develops partnerships and works collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts during analysis, design, and development to produce quality training materials within established timeframes by accurately representing content and applying appropriate, sound instructional design principles

  • Ensures all designed materials meet compliance and legal guidelines

  • Designs, develops, maintains and implements processes to ensure adherence to best in class instructional design process that produce effective, quality training materials in an efficient manner. These processes will include the review and feedback related to non-ALPD developed materials

  • Pilots and evaluates course material to ensure material is instructionally sound and supports intended learning objectives in order to achieve the desired business results through assessing preliminary, pre-published versions of courses and materials. Attends product deliveries and gauges perceived product quality and customer satisfaction Affects changes to reflect lessons learned

  • Reviews, evaluates, and revises vendor courses and externally developed materials to ensure course content meets Enterprise Learning's specifications by auditing for and applying sound instructional design and strategy

  • Collaborates with team members to review works-in-progress to ensure sound instructional design practices and expand professional knowledge and understanding through peer review and discussion. Defines and implements stage-gate processes, to validate needs assessment, evaluation creation, design, development, pilot and implementation

  • Develop and maintain course descriptions and catalog entries for all products

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in adult education, instructional design or related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Two years experience applying instructional design techniques and methodologies to create learning and performance courseware.

  • Detailed knowledge of adult learning, instructional design and distance learning theories and methodologies.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Computer skills in a variety of software, including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flash and Premiere.

  • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills.

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience designing curriculum and/or supporting content for instructor led and computer based training.

  • Experience applying adult learning principles to courseware design.

  • Experience in multiple delivery facilitation.

VIEW JOBS 12/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-13T00:00 We need an Instructional Designer/Facilitator who will play an integral role in our employee development programs. Looking for an excellent facilitator with experience in facilitating courses to audiences of all levels – individual contributor, supervisors, and managers. Courses, primarily soft skills based, would include internal courses and vendor courses which support employee and leader professional development. In addition, this role will use consulting skills to partner with training requestors to define the right solution(s). Experience in a corporate training setting and/or certifications to facilitate vendor courses would be a plus. This position will also require creating or updating internal course material using the ADDIE process with the ability to incorporate audio, video, and newer technologies. Courses would be a mixture of instructor-led and web-based. Lean Green Belt certification or experience in continuous improvement projects is desired. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in business, education or an equivalent combination of four (4) years relevant work experience and college coursework in a related area. Additionally, five (5) years of demonstrated effective performance in a training and development role. Corporate training background is desirable. Understands and uses process methodology based on the Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate (ADDIE) model to develop professional and relevant content. Proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), and instructional design software (Articulate, Captivate etc.). Must have experience in instructional design and delivery of instructor-led content. Designs robust training solutions to target various learning styles. Major Accountabilities 1) Effectively facilitates a wide variety of instructor-led courses to varied audiences. 2) Applies the ADDIE model to the creation of high-impact foundational, product, compliance, and other training. 3) Assures that courses are developed to support capturing data upon completion to facilitate timely and value added training reporting. Experience with learning management systems including AICC/SCORM reporting requirements for online content is helpful. 4) Remains current with and implements state-of-the-art training delivery modes, techniques, and technologies and partners with department staff in applying most effective options for each development intervention. 5) Builds partnerships with internal business partners to ensure corporate programs are well aligned with organizational objectives and strategies. 6) Establishes the business case to compare off-the-shelf products vs. internal development of training materials to offer solutions appropriate to the requirements. 7) Technically adept. Skilled in the incorporation of audio, video, and newer technologies to increase learner engagement. 8) Assures that each training includes Kirkpatrick evaluation levels; acts on the results of the data provided. 9) Demonstrates the ability to engage and develop others. 10) Demonstrates the ability to estimate and meet established and dynamic timelines. Shows flexibility to adjust content and workload to meet expectations under time constraints in a dynamic and adaptive work environment.
