Job Overview

Responsible for designing, creating, and revising learning experiences and Canvas courses for online, hybrid and in person learning, and providing faculty training and support with an emphasis on eAccessibility.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with faculty and subject matter experts (SMEs), using core instructional design principles and theories, to design and develop accessible learning materials and courses.

  • Create and conduct faculty training/workshops, and continuous course improvement with an emphasis on eAccessibility.

  • Provide support and training to faculty and staff in developing accessible digital and electronic learning materials.

  • Evaluate and recommend the use of instructional technologies and tools that enhance learning, accessibility, and usability.

  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of instructional materials, training and workshops and revise based on feedback and data.

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of accessibility standards, and state and federal laws.

  • Work as part of a team to manage online courses and program development.

  • Maintain a collaborative relationship and open communication with partners.

  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • Two (2) years of instructional design experience.

  • Two (2) years of experience creating accessible instructional content in education or related setting.

  • Experience creating content in a learning management system

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Experience with Canvas, Kaltura, and Articulate

  • Experience in higher education

  • Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competency (CPACC)

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.

  • Competitive salary range dependent on the candidate's experience ($50,000 - $56,000).
