Advertised Job Summary

The Curriculum Coordinator II uses principles of effective instructional design and adult learning theory to plan and develop effective instructor-led curricula, online modules and courses, job aids, study materials, and learning activities. Performs as a project coordinator as assigned. This position is established in support of expanded research activities or projects.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Master's degree in education or related field and 1 year experience in curriculum management or development, or bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience.

Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in instructional design and training. Advanced working knowledge of applications used to create interactive instructional materials such as Lectora, Articulate, Audacity, Adobe Captivate and Creative Suite tools, Camtasia, and related open-source software.

Working knowledge of integrating audio, video, and animations using eLearning development tools. Knowledge of best practices for e-learning product and/or web development including, performance, cross-browser compatibility, and scalability.

Experience accomplishing all aspects of course ware development to include designing, story boarding, writing, editing, producing and course-building.

Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Master's degree in English, social work, education or related field.


Experience in training delivery and development.

Experience in application of adult learning theory, instructional design and online learning product development.

Experience accomplishing all aspects of course ware development to include designing, story boarding, writing, editing, producing and course-building. General Summary:The Senior User Experience Designer position plays a leading role in the creation of a market-leading user experience (UX) by providing high-quality designs, graphics, mock-ups and layouts for both new and existing web sites and applications. The Senior role leads a broader team to ensure consistency across implementations and methodologies employed. The Senior User Experience Designer plays a critical role in mentoring User Experience Designers and other agile team members to ensure we are creating market-leading experiences and growing future talent within the agile teams. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Help define and oversee the UX process across Unum, ensuring best practices are employed across different teams * Actively feed ideas and suggestions on how to improve the UX for Unum's customers to the AVP User Experience, and work with that person to refine and roll out best of breed practices to all teams. * Help set and police standards across different teams * Define and reinforce adherence to Accessibility Standards * Works both as a team member on individual UX assignments for the majority of the time, but will help provide cross-team support, standardization, best practices and interconnection. * Partners with business Product Owner, Marketing roles, Scrum team members, and subject matter experts to support the development of user interfaces that are implementable on the web. * Develops user interfaces that will bring an exceptional and consistent user experience across multiple digital platforms that are consistent and reinforcing of the corporate brand. * Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive and excellent user experiences. * Facilitate the Product Owner's vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for digital products. * Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces. * Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs. * Actively bring in ideas from other industries and companies that would benefit Unum's client base. * Responsible for pattern and style libraries and keeps them updated and maintained. * Creates screen shot mockups and/or prototypes for usability testing and requirements gathering. * Ensures that the user experience is applied consistently by overseeing the use of brand guidelines, color, font, icons and other artifacts, and ensures compliance with Accessibility Standards. * Provide feedback to Marketing on Brand standards, guidelines and direction. * Monitors best practices, trends and new technologies and evaluates them for possible adoption.
