Serving as Sutter Health online learning expert, this professional supports the organization in the design, development, and coordination of implementing best-in-class eLearning strategies and curricula, and directly manages related projects. This position provides instructional design expertise to create interactive online content enhancing the effectiveness of organizational learning initiatives for Sutter employees, business partners and clients.

Bachelor's BA/BS Required Or equivalent education/experience
3-5 years Demonstrated experience and a proven track record in instructional design in an organization of significant size and complexity. Required
3-5 years Two plus years or equivalent experience working in an instructional design role. Required
3-5 years Experience developing and delivering complex and varied curriculum and course requirements, materials, and logistics Required
3-5 years Experience in web based training in a corporate or similar environment. Preferred
3-5 years Experience with adult learning theories, interactive training, e-learning design principles, and on demand instruction and evaluation methods. Required
3-5 years Expertise in needs assessment, research, design, and validation. Required
3-5 years Experience with creating and organizing content for use with a Learning Management System (LMS). Required
3-5 years Experience building engaging, effective online learning programs and tools using current and successful strategies. Required
3-5 years Experience designing and implementing gamification. Required
3-5 years Healthcare experience. Preferred
3-5 years Experience working with content subject matter experts from training, operations and administrative teams to complete projects. Required
3-5 years Experienced internal consulting or client management skills. Required
3-5 years Experience participating in Training standards, processes, policies, procedures and service level agreements Required
3-5 years Experience in complex regional/ shared service environment with multiple/ matrix reporting relationships Preferred

VIEW JOBS 4/7/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-06T00:00 This position will leverage human-centered design to rapidly research, design and prototype new digital, physical, and service experiences across the Sutter Health system. Responsible for qualitative and quantitative user research, conceptualization, synthesis, prototyping, visual design, user interface design, communication design, and project management for multiple projects with diverse stakeholder groups. Responsible for qualitative and quantitative research to understand current practices of care delivery in place at Sutter hospitals and doctor's offices (from the patient, provider and care team perspectives), as well as the human journey outside of the healthcare system. Responsible for synthesizing information to clearly communicate stakeholder needs, insights, human needs and opportunity areas, and working with engineers and other designers to rapidly build and develop new prototypes and products. This position will leverage knowledge of healthcare structures, stakeholders, regulations, constraints, challenges, trends, incentives, technology and opportunities and bring a strong understanding of hospital and clinic clinical processes, as well as Electronic Health Record workflows. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, researchers, project managers, business designers, and engineers. Education Bachelor's degree in design, business, healthcare or other related field required. Experience Design Experience: 2 years. Has strong portfolio highlighting research, conceptualization, prototyping, visual design, communication, and project management required. Healthcare Experience: 4 years. Experience is ideally in a patient-facing or health technology design capacity required. Skills and Knowledge Design Knowledge: Has deep understanding of user research, synthesis, prototyping, and digital UX. Able to integrate innovation, design and technology into viable solutions. Prototyping Skills: Can facilitate ideating new solutions/products/services in partnership with patients, providers, care teams and operations leads. Can prototype digital products, service improvements, new technologies, updated communication strategies, etc. Knows how to deploy holistic design/innovation across a variety of touchpoints. Developer Interaction Skills: Works well with engineers to successfully build prototypes and products. Healthcare Team Interaction Skills: Works well with providers and care teams in the hospital, clinic and home setting. Project Management Skills: Has excellent project management skills that demonstrate successful program transition from concept to implementation and measurement.
