The Novartis Cell & Gene Technical Development and Manufacturing team is seeking an Instructional Designer in East Hanover, NJ.

This role is responsible for conducting training needs analysis, designing and developing training courses for delivery by instructor, on-the-job, and web-based. This job will work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and develop the most appropriate manner to deliver effective training courses. This job will also be responsible for the creation of training effectiveness measures using Kirkpatrick methodology.

  • Foster & support a team culture that is engaged and empowered

  • Conduct a training needs assessments

  • Capable of identifying "need-to-know" versus "nice-to-know" content and converting to a robust, compliant, accurate, and effective training course

  • Design and develop effective training courses incorporating adult learning principles

  • Prepare documents and materials (training needs assessments, background material, instructional materials, and training aids, etc.) to be used in programs

  • Develop and implement training effectiveness measures

  • Develop and report training effectiveness metrics

  • Revise and enhance training courses and training effectiveness measures as required

  • Comply with site training requirements

  • Assist in identifying appropriate training courses based upon job roles or tasks

  • Performs other training activities as requested

  • Training Effectiveness KPI

  • Number of developed training programs

  • Compliance to quality systems and GMP and site regulations

  • Customer satisfaction

  • Meet specific training output targets
