Our client is looking for an Instructional Designer to join their Learning Experience team within Mission Control. In this role, you will create and maintain a broad set of technical training content designed for their employees.
You will work closely with Program Managers, peer Instructional Designers, Learning Admins, subject matter experts, and partners to analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate and maintain dozens of highly engaging and effective learning experiences.
Mission Control is the team that enables strategic workforce planning and execution for our Tech organization. This includes the management of our technical onboarding (ex. Engineering Bootcamp) and continued education programs (ex. Machine Learning Academy). The Learning Experience team is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the curriculum used within these programs.

Use a content development framework to create engaging and effective learning content (ex. courses, presentations, videos, 1-pagers, hands-on activities, infographics, motion graphics)
Design learning experiences to support a variety of modalities (ex. self-paced online training, virtual classroom training, in-person classroom training, or a blend of all three)
Collaborate closely with Program Managers, peer Instructional Designers, Learning Admins, subject matter experts, and partners to develop and continuously improve learning experiences
Evaluate feedback and prioritize updates that will improve the experience for future learners
Follow instructional design standards and best practices in every project
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced ambiguous environment while delivering high-quality work on time
Be the go-to for answers to questions about the learning experiences you develop
Share frequent status updates with the team and stakeholders
5+ years of experience developing, implementing, and continuously improving online and in-person learning experiences
3+ years using various tools to develop learning content (Articulate 360, Vyond, Camtasia, Audacity, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience developing technical training content
Experience implementing adult learning best practices
Experience using standard publishing tools (Office 365, G Suite, Adobe, etc.)
Experience leading end-to-end instructional design projects
Experience writing, copy editing, and visual design
Experience developing relationships with technical and non-technical people
Portfolio of your work ready to share
Experience working in a tech organization
Familiarity with the front and back-end of learning management systems (ex. Cornerstone)
