Position Summary:

The Amobee Technical Writer & Instructional Designer intern is responsible for supporting writing, editing and other assigned tasks and strategies that support our self-service product training and documentation initiatives. The primary purpose of this role is to assist the Product Training & Documentation team with their projects. The role will report directly to the Sr Manager, Product Training & Documentation and play an important role working cross-functionally with Product, Product Marketing, and Client Services.

We are looking for an intern who is eager to work on new technologies, quick and keen to learn all aspects of content creation, has a positive outlook, can-do attitude and can be self-motivated to work well within our team. You will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about all aspects of supporting our approach to self-service customer support with a leading technology company.


  • Support the Training & Documentation team by conducting administrative tasks that support's Amobee's self-service customers.

  • Quickly learn existing processes and procedures to support various content initiatives.

  • Complete assigned tasks to support our self-service knowledge base.

  • Collaborate with management to achieve specific goals and objectives including transferring content from an existing tool to the new Knowledge base application .

  • Take screenshots and videos to accompany articles in the Knowledge base.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled with an accredited College or University that has implemented a student Intern Program.

  • Must be able to work a minimum of 16-20 hours per week in the Amobee Redwood City office.

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program

  • Advanced level Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

  • Advanced level Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms)

  • Familiarity with Slack a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability with regard to writing, editing and following directions.

  • Requires highly developed interpersonal skills to effectively work with executives and public stakeholders.

  • Skilled in managing multiple projects for delivery in a timely manner and within budget.

  • Exhibit professionalism at all times.

  • Strong work ethic, integrity and high level of confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Resourceful, self-Starter and have the ability to multi-task and proactively manage all logistics for a given task.

  • Be able to work quickly under pressure in-fast paced, high volume of activity and a deadline driven environment.

  • Ability to work with colleagues in different geographical locations.

  • Organizational skills that enable work efficiency on an individual and team basis.

  • Legally able to work in the United States.

Responsibilities: * Champion the role of UX and user-centric design within the organization. * Define and uphold best-in-class UX design processes that streamline the product design cycle. * Oversee the development of a consistent UX design language and design pattern libraries. * Scope and design new features for mobile and web environments - and engage with relevant teams throughout the development process to ensure delivery meets expectations and performs as intended. * Utilize a fully developed skill set - including researching, sketching, and iterating - to develop actionable design solutions. * Identify and document use cases that improve life in the kitchen with Yummly. * Bring clarity to solving complex problems through thoughtful information architecture. * Map the flow of user traffic and data to identify areas for improvement and solve problems at the early stages of the design process. * Create wireframes, clickable prototypes, and high fidelity UX flows and design to drive design decisions and optimize user experience. * Conduct usability testing remotely and on-site at Yummly (at times using our fully equipped professional kitchen!) * Communicate design expectations and interaction behaviors to engineering and QA teams using the most appropriate tools and means available. Qualifications: * An inspirational, wide-ranging portfolio of your work you can share including work for mobile and web. * 5-8 years of relevant design experience with examples of productionalized design work you have shipped. * Exceptional knowledge of IA and interaction design specifications, wireframes, mockups, prototypes. * Extensive experience with design validation and usability testing. * Experience using metrics and leveraging analytics tools to track user behavior and develop data-driven insights. * Well-versed with UX and workflow tools such as Sketch, Zeplin, Abstract, InVision, and/or other industry-standard tools such as Axure, Omnigraffle, etc. * Excellent understanding of iOS, Android, and website technological capabilities. * Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or related qualification, or equivalent design industry.
