Responsibilities Benefits Supplemental Questions
1.Assists in the design, development, and delivery of workshops and training to faculty and staff in the use of instructional technologies and educational best practices. Including the design and delivery of the WeTeach to an internal and external audience through the Adult and Continuing Education department.
2.Assists in the development of instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques, appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices for the priorities identified by the Assistant Vice President of Distance Learning and Summer Session
3.Designs and produces learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation and multimedia to support teaching, learning, and student information needs.
4.Researches and makes recommendations on educational best practices, instructional resources, instructional technologies and multimedia hardware/software to support teaching and learning
5.Consults with faculty on instructional design and learning objectives.
1.Occasional overnight and weekend travel. (workshops/conferences)
2.Some work may be done remotely by following campus Telecommuting process.
3.May travel to meet with external audiences.
1. Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related area
2.At least 1 year of experience supporting college-level instructional design and course delivery
1. Master's degree in instructional design or related field
2.Quality Matters Master Reviewer certification/licensure
3.Working knowledge and experience with designing college-level instructional experiences that include well-defined learning objectives and aligned activities and assessments.
4.Experience with hybrid and online course quality assurance methods such as Quality Matters
5.Experience integrating and supporting learning management systems (e.g., D2L BrightSpace), online content authoring tools (e.g., SoftChalk), and other instructional technologies at a college-level.
6.Experience mentoring, coaching, and/or training college faculty in instructional design and the integration of instructional technology
7.Effective project management skills, analytical skills, planning abilities, and sound judgment.
8.Prioritize and handle multiple, complex, demanding projects simultaneously.
9.Creative, practical problem-identification, reporting, and solving skills.
10. Work within a team, deal with ambiguity, manage fast-paced change, and contribute what is needed to achieve project goals.
