A career within Assurance Support services, will provide the opportunity to support our engagement teams and clients by providing advice and counsel on accounting, financial reporting, and strategic business issues. In joining, you'll help ensure a complete and relevant exchange of information among our consultants and in turn with engagement teams and clients, provide experts advice on a variety of specific topics, support engagement teams in resolving complex issues, and supporting clients and their subsidiaries in evaluating the potential impact of accounting and reporting standard setting initiatives. You'll develop strong relationships with our engagement teams and established audit clients and enhance our ability to meet greater investor expectations with the challenges of an increasingly complex business environment.
As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
Be involved in the financial management of clients
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
Train, coach, and supervise staff
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in research skills, strong writing ability, and familiarity with PwC lines of service in order to support the advice and counsel provided by the Governance Insights Center on strategic business issues pertaining to Boards of Directors and Audit Committees, which includes managing and/or directing the following:
Conducting both short- and long-term research projects on various corporate governance issues;
Managing the thought leadership publication process by coordinating directly with authors, collaborators, marketing specialists, graphic designers, and national office review team;
Designing and maintaining a comprehensive database of relevant research materials;
Monitoring closing and distributing relevant news in the area of corporate governance;
Writing, copy-editing and proof-reading thought leadership publications;
Following regulatory rulemaking activities and assessing the impact of these rules on organizations with Boards of Directors and related communities;
Maintaining key internal materials used for client presentations, including updating materials to reflect new developments and key studies and other findings from both internal and external sources;
Consulting with senior leaders and internal teams and/or stakeholders on governance-related topics that are of concern to clients, assessing the impact of such items from a business perspective, and sharing leading practices;
Participating in internal and external educational forums targeted to communities of Boards of Directors, including those held by prominent business organizations, and debriefing internal teams on key messages;
Coordinating governance activities with other prominent business organizations, as well as gathering and analyzing competitive information in the corporate governance space; and,
Serving as a liaison for various lines of service, (e.g. tax, advisory) to drive profile-raising and knowledge-sharing on corporate governance events and activities While knowledge of corporate governance issues as they relate to Boards of Directors and management is a plus, it is not required if candidate demonstrates a strong desire to learn the topic.
Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in strong project management skills and research, as well as communicating to and/or for our internal staff and our core audience of board directors, executives and investors, emphasizing the following:
Analyzing news and conference materials to identify key important concepts;
Annotating draft publications or outlines with relevant additional research materials; and,
Leading the process to produce thought leadership, including coordinating with a diverse internal and external team to ensure that materials are being written, reviewed and designed in a manner that meets team quality goals and standards.
