Instructional Design Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY: This 15-20 hour per week position assists the SCOPE instructional design team in the development and maintenance of SCOPE courses.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilizes the LMS to ready current courses for additional offerings (copy content, update formatting, set dates, check links, etc.)

• Formats course content (i.e. tests, quizzes, rubrics, handouts) and uploads to the LMS

• Trim course videos

• Update SCOPE website

• Performs other tasks as specified by the Lead Instructional Designer

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Strong interpersonal skills, team player

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills; detail-oriented

• Ability to learn and apply new technologies

• Liberal arts education or broad knowledge in a variety of academic fields

• Experience with LMS (Canvas preferred); experience with video management, lecture capture, and authoring software preferred; experience with HTML preferred
