About the role:

The Ground Truth & Mapping Knowledge Team handles the creation and maintenance of documentation and training curriculum for Cruise's Product Operations team, which is responsible for producing machine learning data and maps. In the role of Instructional Content Creator, you will be developing training and product documentation using a variety of written, visual, and video media for a global audience.

We're looking for qualified candidates to join us in an entry-level contract position. This position is full-time employment with our contingent workforce partner, Aerotek.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Quickly learn difficult technical concepts from multiple sources and then organize and structure that information into digestible, logical content for non-technical and ESL audiences

  • Coordinate with other members of the Ground Truth and Map Ops team to understand documentation and training needs, and draft plans to meet those needs

  • Assist with editing, proofreading, and providing feedback on written and visual communication for your teammates' projects

  • Assist in gathering and analyzing team metrics to help evaluate our team's impact and effectiveness

  • Seek and apply feedback on your projects from leaders, peers, subject matter experts, and the learning audience to constantly improve the impact of our work

  • Tackle urgent projects outside our domain if needed


  • BA/BS or 1-2 years of relevant experience required

  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills

  • Able to quickly learn difficult or technical concepts

  • Proficient in Google Suite (Slides, Docs, Sheets) or MS Office

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Techsmith Snagit and Atlassian Confluence or similar software solutions

  • Comfortable in an ambiguous and constantly changing environment; able to juggle multiple assignments and quickly adjust priorities

  • Has an experimental mindset that allows for innovation & iteration and compliments our low-ego culture

Bonus points!

  • Familiar with adult learning principles

  • Experience with Agile development processes (SAM, Kanban, Scrum)

  • Experience with remote learning/webinar facilitation

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To effectively represent the See's Brand by communicating with existing and potential customers through content on See's social media platforms. Strategize and create unique, compelling social media content that will be the social voice of See's Brand. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: * Create all social content and assets for publishing. Content must be compelling, on Brand and engaging (including but not limited to photo, video, copy) for publishing on See's owned social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest. * Adopt the Brand voice and write copy that speaks on behalf of See's in all social channels. * Style, take photos and write copy based on editorial calendar plans and real time, and "on-the-fly" on-location opportunities. * Use social listening tool (Sprinklr) to identify content opportunities and present those opportunities to the team. * Research and identify new social media content trends; make recommendations to the team, as appropriate. * Work closely with Community Specialist in creating real time content. * Work closely with Media Manager to identify real-time amplification strategies. * Implement measures to ensure effectiveness of content can be measured. * Protect and manage the See's Brand at all times. * May be called upon to create content for other digital channels (i.e., email, etc.) * Perform special projects as assigned by management CORE CAPABILITIES: * Exceptional writing, design, and communication skills. * Demonstrated superior photo and video editing skills. * Exceptional photo styling. * Relationship management, both internal and external. * Ability to work in a fast paced, always-on social media environment. Job Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * One to two years' hands-on B2C social media content creation experience . * Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) experience required. * Photography styling and editing experience required. * Social Media copywriting experience for a Brand. * Working knowledge of all social platforms and best content practices. * Strong analytic and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented mind-set and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. * Self-starter who takes initiative; strong planning and project management skills. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills. * Bachelor degree required; equivalent related work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
