Instructional Coach

To improve student achievement, the Instructional Coach works under the general supervision of the Associate/Assistant Superintendent, Instructional Services, and the direct supervision of the Director of Instruction and Educational Technology to assist in planning, implementing and coordinating of programs to support and coach students, teachers, staff, leaders, and families.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:-Masters degree in a specific educational area OR Administrative CredentialEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:-Minimum of five (5) years of teaching and/or coaching experience-Previous experience providing instructional support and professional learningCERTIFICATIONS AND TESTING REQUIRED:-Must hold valid Teaching Credential-Must pass the District's applicable proficiency exam (e.g., oral interview, written test, or work sample) forthe job class with a satisfactory score

After an offer of employment, must obtain:-Criminal Justice and FBI Fingerprint Clearance-Negative pre-employment drug screen test at District's expense-Pre-employment physical exam at District's expense-Negative TB test results plus post-employment retest as required (currently every 4 years)
