Instructional Coach

Contract type: Continuing

FTE: 1.0

Grades: 6-12

Anticipated start date: 8/20/2024

Salary: $57,709 - $129,794 per year (2023/24 SVEA Salary Schedule). Salary range based on 1.0 FTE.

Required: Valid Washington State certificate with appropriate endorsement required (students may submit a note stating when certificate is expected).

Qualified candidate will be:

• Knowledgeable of Marzano Instructional framework.

• Skilled Communicator.

• Comfortable facilitating in both small and large group setting.

• Ability the support the implementation of the SVSD Strategic Plan

• Ability to support the designing and implementation of the SVSD MTSS framework

• Knowledge of research based best instructional practices

Works closely with teachers and principals to consistently implement the Marzano Instructional Framework, technology applications, and additional best practices to meet the learning needs of all students. Supports district and building goals and initiatives.

• Insurance: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, basic life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance provided the assignment is anticipated to work at least 630 hours per year.*

• Retirement Plans: This position is eligible for a 403(b) TSA Retirement Savings Plan.

• Paid Holidays: This position is not eligible for paid holidays.

• Paid Time Off: Certificated employees receive 12 sick days and 2 discretionary personal leave days each school year. Sick leave and discretionary personal leave days are based on scheduled hours and position start date.

Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours employees are anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 through August 31). Any employee who is scheduled to work 630 hours or more in a year is eligible for benefits.
