Natomas Unified School District will be hosting a job fair for Instructional Assistant I's on Tuesday, January 22nd from 2 pm to 6 pm at 1901 Arena Blvd., Sacramento CA 95834. We will be interviewing and hiring on the spot.

Please bring your resume, and one of the following: transcripts or para-educator certificate. You must apply for this position in order to be interviewed.If you are a current employee and you are in the same classification as the one that is posted, please submit a letter in writing or by email, requesting a transfer to be considered for the specific site that is posted. Position Summary INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES ASSISTANT II: Under minimal oversight, incumbents serve as a technical resource performing complex tasks related to the development and monitoring of faculty and student schedules and statistical reporting. Works independently in providing computer application assistance that critically impacts college operations in the area of assigned duties. Monitors, receives, and processes all special program enrollments, including apprenticeship contracts, positive attendance classes, independent and special study programs, academy classes, etc. Prepares class rosters; inputs grades; compiles statistical information; and accounts for class hours of attendance. Assignment Responsibilities INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES ASSISTANT II: ● Monitors faculty assignments for adherence to District policies and procedures and class assignment limitations. ● Updates faculty position control and reassigned time reports, verify data and resolve discrepancies. ● Maintains master facilities schedule and facilities inventory. ● Assists in the curriculum development process. ● Compiles, prepares, and proofs curricula data for college catalog and schedules. ● Maintains databases and develops and produces related reports. ● Compiles and checks statistical data for enrollment and financial reporting. All Levels: ● Prepares, calculates, and processes faculty payroll forms and related error reports, such as time sheets, absence reports, and preliminary payroll records. ● Calculates faculty payroll reports, such as revisions track. ●Works experience enrollments. ● Processes paperwork for on and off-site contract classes and other special requests. ● Assists instructional areas in the scheduling of classes. ● Modifies and maintains a variety of databases and files. ● Compiles information for federal, state, and district reports. ● Responds to requests for information. ● Communicates with students, faculty, and other individuals to disseminate or explain information. ● Assists in preparing and proofing material for published schedule of classes. ● Prepares material for processing. ● Prepares routine correspondence and monthly reports. ● Orders office supplies and materials. ● Composes and types correspondence. ● Oversees work of temporary employees. ● Performs related duties as required. ATTENDANCE SERVICES ASSISTANT: ● Maintains records of special program enrollments, including apprenticeship and positive attendance classes, independent and special study programs, academy classes, etc. ● Prepares class rosters for distribution to instructors. ● Inputs grades. ● Compiles statistics for positive attendance reporting. ● Responsible for accurate accounting of class hours for individualized classes, the Criminal Justice Training Center, the sheriff's and police academy classes, and all apprenticeship programs/classes. ● Oversees and performs data entry for all special program grade reports. ● Responsible for the collection of grade reports for all classes at the college and timely transference of grades to District each semester and summer session. ● Interacts with counselors and instructors in appropriate classification of independent and special studies classes. ● Monitors these classes to assure compliance with District and college rules and procedures. ● Provides procedural guidance to instructors and coordinators of special programs and apprenticeship classes and to safety academies. ● Assists other areas of Admissions/Records with registration and other related duties. ●Performs related duties as required. Work Year 12 month Work Schedule 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday Total Hrs per Week/Day 40 hours per week Special Requirements Minimum Qualifications INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES ASSISTANT II: EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Three years of experience related to the duties of the position; AND, two years of college level business, office technology, or related course work from an accredited institution. Promotional: One year of experience as an Instructional Services Assistant I in the Los Rios Community College District; AND, two years of college level business, office technology, or related course work from an accredited institution. (Promotional applies to regular current Classified employees working with the Los Rios CCD.) ATTENDANCE SERVICES ASSISTANT: EXPERIENCE: One year of accounting or admissions records experience in the Los Rios Community College District or three years of experience in the preparation and maintenance of accounting records. EDUCATION: An associate's degree in business, accounting, computer services or office assistant. Two additional years of qualifying experience may be substituted for the associate's degree. Have an equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, including those with physical or learning disabilities as it relates to differences in learning styles; and successfully foster and support an inclusive educational and employment environment.
