The Instructional Aide assists the teacher with the educational program in the classroom, reinforces learning concepts at the teacher's direction, assists in the supervision of the students' activities, performs various clerical duties and activities, assists with recess and lunch duty, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

High School Diploma; A.A. preferred

Comments and Other Information

Proficient in English including vocabulary, spelling, grammar and punctuation Knowledge of general classroom, school procedures and rules of conduct Effective communication skills, both oral and written Knowledge of methods and procedures used in standard record keeping Prior experience working with students/children (voluntary, internship, student programs, tutoring) Apply instructional principles when working with a group of or with individual students Completion of all Diocesan Safe Environment requirements, including Livescan fingerprinting TB Clearance
