The Instructional Designer and Developer will analyze learning needs and create state-of-the-art solutions for self-paced and instructor led instruction. Additionally, the ISD will assess and report on the effectiveness and ROI of training programs. The ideal candidate will have Medicare knowledge, health care experience, and familiarity with e-learning authoring tools.
Collaborates with the Learning Solution team to deliver state-of-the-art, traditional and technology-based training tools and programs that meet the needs of multiple, diverse audiences.
Ability to management multiple fast paced projects at one time - project management own learning projects.
Assess, design, develop, implement and evaluate learning materials, multimedia, and job aids in accordance with adult learning methodologies and the ISD process.
Employ instructional design principles appropriate to the audience and work environment.
Conduct structured needs analysis and provides detailed recommendations.
Design programs using a systematic instructional design process with an outcomes-based methodology.
Develops and conducts follow-up assessments to evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of training programs.
Continuously review and maintain existing training materials and programs based on audit results, assessments, changing procedures and business client feedback to maximize effectiveness through the use of "learner focused" environments, instructional design principles and accelerated learning methods.
Lead training measurement standards and ensures process consistency.
Manages and maintain training content libraries and source documentation; collaboration and public areas.
Effectively manages curriculum, reporting and other relevant administrative requirements through the LMS.
Designs and maintains internal websites and SharePoint sites. Simultaneously participates on and/or leads multiple project teams.
Updates and modernizes existing materials.
Strong instructional design and development background
Intermediate knowledge of Articulate storyline or Adobe captivate
Experience in application of performance-based instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, performance consulting and educational media desired.
5+ years expience in a managed care or related business
5 - 10+ years managed care/ health insurance industry experience.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
