Job Requirements

General Overview of Position

The position of Assembly Technician reports to the Area Manager and is responsible to provide high quality merchandise assembly, installation, and service work at customer locations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assemble all products according to manufacturer's directions and specifications.

  • Communicate with Area Manager at the beginning and end of each shift.

  • Use time clock as required to record time.

  • Check in with appropriate contact at customer location.

  • Complete work tasks as indicated by the work list or customer.

  • Complete repairs as necessary.

  • Order parts using the online order system.

  • Work in a safe and clean manner.

  • Be aware of customers in the area and work accordingly.

  • Stage assembled product in a neat and orderly fashion.

  • Dispose of trash as dictated by the customer.

  • Complete required information for invoice purposes.

  • Update customer status as required.

  • Other duties and/or tasks may be assigned on an as needed basis.

Position Requirements

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Must provide own tools.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to reach and maintain prescribed productivity levels for assembly.

  • Reliable transportation.

  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record.

  • Required availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to provide an acceptable background screen.

  • Ability to pass a drug screen.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and periodically climb up and down stairs.

  • Ability to work exposed to outside temperatures.

  • Frequently bending, kneeling and reaching.

  • Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble small parts and calibrate precise measurements.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and oral.

VIEW JOBS 7/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-10-15T00:00 Job Summary: The Cirrus Experimental team is tasked with the development of new components and technologies intended for evaluation on next generation aircraft. The primary responsibility of the Experimental Assembly Technician will be to assemble and install parts and systems as well as fabricate components using varied processes and methods. This role requires constant learning of new methods and the application of new industry technologies. The individual must be self-motivated, have a high degree of integrity, strong verbal skills, and be comfortable working with a highly diverse cross functional team. Essential Duties: * Possess a broad skillset used to assemble precision aircraft parts * Able to assemble to print and verify accuracy using precision measuring instruments * Work from mental concepts, verbal instructions, hand-sketches, or blueprints * Possess strong creative mind and extreme attention to detail * Envision the full process of the build – layout through installation * Safely use hand and power tools - drill press, sanders, grinders * Use a variety of manual and pneumatic riveting equipment: squeezes, guns, and bucking bars * Collaborate with a wide audience to develop technologies and designs * Possess a solid understanding of general airplane architecture including airframe, powerplant, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems * Hold a general understanding of metal fabrication and composites Education and/or Experience 5-7 years of combined schooling and industry experience. Aerospace, manufacturing, industrial or Machine Technology degrees preferred. Certificates or Licensures: No licenses are required for this position. Other industry certificates considered a plus including Airframe & Powerplant certificate or ASE Automotive Computer Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a must.
