Oregon Youth Authority is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Institution Registered Nurse to join our team at the MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility. As a Health Services Clinic Nurse, you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining the physical and mental well-being of the youth in custody who are committed to an OYA (Oregon Youth Authority) youth correctional facility. In this position, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive health care services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our youth. Your primary focus will be to provide direct professional nursing care to youth with physical and mental health complaints, while also developing individualized nursing care plans to address their specific needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young individuals and contribute to their overall rehabilitation and well-being.   • Multiple Positions: This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill current and future vacancies - permanent, full-time, part-time and temporary positions with varying shifts.   • Representation: This position is represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU/OPEU).

  • Starting Salary Expectations: $84,528 yearly ($40.64 hourly) to $97,176 yearly ($46.72 hourly); based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity (should you have significant years of experience performing this work in a correctional setting with youth, starting salary may be higher)

  • Position Salary Range: up to $131,052 Annual Salary.

  • This position receives annual increases on anniversary date until the maximum of the salary range is reached.

  • Upon PERS eligibility, employees will receive a 6.95% increase to their base salary and will pay the employee 6% contribution to PERS.

What We Are Looking For:

Possess a valid Oregon Registered Professional Nurse's License at the time of appointment.

Special Qualifications:

  • Possess an active CPR card

Desired Attributes: We may show preference to candidates whose application materials demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of medical ethics.

  • Experience working in a team environment in a variety of environments and situations.
