Who we need:

What you'll do:

  • Manage the distribution of instant tickets and consumables to Ohio Lottery retailers

  • Communicate with Ohio Lottery retailers on a daily basis

  • Resolve instant ticket issues for retailers

  • Use various computer applications and reports to manage the instant ticket and consumables distribution program

  • Work on-site at the vendor's warehouse facility

OFFICIAL STATE OF OHIO CLASSIFICATION: PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR 1 (63122)

Provides program direction for instant ticket & consumables distribution program by relieving supervisor of non-routine administrative duties & formulates & implements instant ticket & consumables distribution program policy: Manages distribution & returns of instant tickets & consumables (e.g., ticket stock, play slips, bet cards, supplies, etc.); serves as liaison between Ohio Lottery Commission (i.e., OLC) & Scientific Games International, Inc (i.e., SGI); formulates & implements instant ticket & consumables distribution policies & procedures; represents supervisor at meetings with SGI; independently answers instant ticket & consumables distribution correspondence; resolves instant ticket issues for OLC retailers on daily basis (e.g., tracks missing ticket orders, issues ticket overage resolutions, etc.); researches & responds to inquiries & complaints regarding instant ticket & consumables distribution; on daily basis, generates internal & parcel delivery service comparison report to compare manifests to parcel delivery service upload files & identifies discrepancies; analyzes daily parcel delivery service reports for delivery exceptions; monitors parcel delivery service shipments & verifications; identifies lost & late shipments, researches & analyzes same & notifies Office of Security for appropriate course of action; formulates & implements guidelines & timeframes for initial instant game allocations to retailers, game closing procedures, game purges & inventory destruction; researches & analyzes instant ticket & consumables distribution program policies & procedures; provides technical advice on instant ticket & consumables distribution to aid Deputy Director in decision making; develops instant ticket & consumables distribution project proposals & program plans.

Manages instant ticket & consumables distribution information in computer systems & software applications: Monitors pending retailer profiles in system for status changes; activates retailers in system for initial ticket orders & adds to weekly call schedule by SGI; uploads instant ticket roll stock files from vendor into system for distribution to retailers; runs new game allocation files to create new game allocation orders for shipment to retailers; utilizes various system reports to manage instant ticket & consumables distribution program & to research & analyze components of instant ticket & consumables distribution program; communicates computer system & software application problems to Office of Information Technology; develops process improvements to enhance system functionality.

Serves as liaison between OLC & gaming system vendor at Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership (i.e., SGEP) warehouse & performs other duties: Maintains daily on-site presence at SGEP warehouse; addresses operational issues & needs; ensures vendor contract compliance & completes quarterly review of vendor performance; researches & analyzes exception reports to identify errors in scanning, picking or packing & makes corrections as needed; holds inventory review meetings; conducts instant ticket audit at warehouse to ensure accuracy & rectifies issues; researches & analyzes policies & procedures for lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed inventory & formulates & implements new policies & procedures for same as needed; monitors consumables & re-orders as needed; coordinates movement & activation of promotional tickets; writes reports; performs other duties & works on special projects as directed.

Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 12 months training or 12 months experience in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position which involved limited research & public contact.

OR: Completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 12 months training or 12 months experience in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position which involved limited research & public contact.

OR: 36 months training or 36 months experience in business administration, management science or public administration.
