Job Description:

Installs, tests and repairs telecommunications and network equipment. Interfaces with client at client site. Performs all functions to meet customer and company specifications and to client's satisfaction.

This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education, or training. The role has clearly defined procedures and tasks as well as defined guidelines to aid in decision making. The job should possess a good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts & principles upon which the job is based. The knowledge can be acquired through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. The job works within well-defined procedures that may involve a variety of work routines. This job typically requires a minimum of 3 or more years experience.

Basic Function

  • Provide onsite low level project management/installation/1st pass testing during integration process.

  • Supervise additional onsite installation personnel to achieve project completion if needed.

  • Perform instruction, full system testing and provide documentation on installed systems as defined in QIP.

Responsibilities

  • Will make travel arrangements for self and possibly for other installation personnel, gather documentation and contact customer prior to every project when needed.

  • Will verify all aspects of infrastructure are in place upon arrival at site. Will work with and make suggestions to any/all contractors and customers regarding integration needs.

  • Will be required to comply with integration and documentation procedures and standards.

  • Will coordinate with offsite Project Managers and engineers conveying needs/issues to ensure appropriate tests, equipment and results are obtained.

  • Will submit daily reports to Project Manager, Installation Supervisor and appropriate individuals to maintain open and timely communication updates regarding integration process when instructed to do so.

  • Will work from written and/or verbal instructions.

  • Will communicate scope to additional installation personnel.

  • Will be required to perform initial system functional checks identify problem areas and affect calibration adjustments.

  • Will be required to read and understand system flow documentation and amend such documents to reflect the "as built" system.

  • Will train others on operational function of installed systems when applicable.

  • Must have a professional appearance while interacting with the client.

  • Must supervise daily work efforts of other installations personnel and additional sub-contractors specific to achieving project completion and maintaining quality when applicable.

  • Outside vendors and contractors: Must supervise work details of outside contractors to ensure quality system requirements are met.

  • Interacts with customers with regard to post market surveillance activities.

  • Is responsible for staying current on all assigned training.

  • Other duties as assigned by Project Manager, Installation Supervisor, and Regional Integration Service Manager.

  • Has the independence and authority to perform required tasks to ensure all provisions of the quality system are met.

Dean. You will be responsible for electrical installations, servicing basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, and applicable codes. You will be dispatched daily to customers and be responsible for resolving the customers electrical problems in the highest professional and safe manner. You will complete all site documentation on an electronic device which will require knowledge of current smart phone / personal tablet technology. The selected candidate will be of strong moral character and understand that they will be representing the world's best service company. Therefore, you will present yourself in a clean and professional manor at all times, with a primary focus on customer satisfaction, quality and safety. Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components and devices associated with electrical equipment, following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans. * Installing and mounting electronic controls, device, panels, sensors, and components. * Performing interlock wiring as required. * Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices. * Inspecting installation sites and studying work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials requirements and installation procedures. * Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. * Reading contract drawings. * Trouble shooting EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays. * Performing lead technician and Foreman duties on projects ranging from 1 day projects, to 5 month projects. * Work on projects lasting a few weeks that may be out of town. Qualifications / Skills Sets / Expectations: * Four (4) years of experience working in the electrical industry. * Must successfully pass a background check and drug test * High School Diploma or GED * Reliable Transportation Physical Abilities: * Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time. * Relocates a twelve foot stepladder without assistance. * Works on energized circuits or equipment. * Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders. * Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis. * Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see In color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English. * May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools. * Must be committed to excellence and generate a high quality of work. * Must consistently report to work on time, work well with other employees to accomplish a common goal, and maintain a safe work environment. * Must wear an M.C. Dean, Inc. hard hat and safety glasses at all times while on the job site. * Must wear OSHA approved boot length pants and a shirt that covers the shoulders by seven (7) inches.
