OVERVEIW

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Installation Coordinator to oversee the installation of windows, exterior doors, and interior doors. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our installation projects, from planning and scheduling to execution and completion. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual who can efficiently coordinate with clients, installation teams, and internal departments to deliver exceptional service and quality. Being bilingual is strongly preferred, as it will facilitate better communication with our diverse clientele and workforce.

PURPOSE

Supervises the installation of pre-fabricated components such as windows, doors, insulation and related products on the customer sites. Responsible for all aspects of Install activities including planning, coordinating and assigning work in order to meet or exceed installation scheduling goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage the installation process of windows, exterior doors, and interior doors, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Coordinate with the sales team, clients, and installation crews to schedule and plan installation projects effectively.

  • Monitors installation schedule in order to coordinate the delivery of materials, sequence of installers and optimize use of equipment and manpower; maintains progress against target records for installation activities.

  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements, take accurate measurements, and ensure readiness for installation.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and installation teams, providing timely updates and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.

  • Troubleshoots problems on the installation site; writes change orders, recommends adjustments to installation schedule, discusses and resolves quality of work issues with subcontractors as needed.

  • Supervises assigned employees including staff selection and training; planning, assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises assigned staff.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum of five (5) years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPETENCIES

  • Proven experience as an installation coordinator, supervisor, or similar role, preferably within the window, door, or construction industry.

  • Knowledge of company practices and standards for product installations

  • Knowledge of business mathematics

  • Ability to supervise and achieve work productivity through others

  • Ability to read and write delivery schedules and reports

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on customer service.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an enterprise resource planning (ERP) program

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
