Job Description Summary:

The Home Appliance Installer is responsible for the loading, unloading and installation of gas and electric household appliances such as: washers, dryers, range ovens, counter top stoves refrigerators, and ventilation hoods into new and existing residential units. This position ensures the installed appliances are damage free, properly installed according to manufacturer's specifications, and are fully functioning.

This position requires the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with customers and employees and the ability to make decisions in a timely and professional manner.

  • Previous appliance installation experience preferred

  • Great customer service skills

  • Must be able to physically lift or move appliances up to 100 pounds and occasionally move appliances over 100 pounds

  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

  • Meet current ability to deal effectively and tactfully with customers and employees.

  • Ability to make decisions in a timely and professional manner, plus have analytical ability, initiative and problems solving ability.

  • Must have a valid driver license

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload appliances from delivery vehicle using a hand-truck.

  • Moves and places unit(s) into designated installation spot.

  • Install unit(s) using simple hand tools supplied by the company.

  • Inspects final product for proper operation and damage

As a Jr. Installation Technician, you will perform vehicle installs of public safety equipment, maintenance and troubleshooting on customer equipment, programming and site installations. In this role you will be required to perform installation work of mobile subscriber units into a wide range of vehicles such as police & fire vehicles, work vehicles, mining equipment, construction equipment, and locomotive. RESPONSIBILITIES * Program and bench test for mobile and portable subscriber units. * Diagnose equipment and complete most installation related or first echelon level repairs independently. * Travel occasionally to multiple locations as required on special project assignments. * Provide own hand tools. * Physical installation/removal of mobile and fixed infrastructure equipment. * Communicate with end user customer. * Maintain inventory and clean install bay area as assigned. * Work along with scheduling, technical and sales team. * General duties as assigned by your supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS * Computer literate in MS Office and other computer applications. * Obtain R56 Installer Certification. * Test Equipment – Watt Meter, Digital Multi-Meter, Systems Analyzer-Basic Functions. * The individual shall be good with all basic hand tools (Drills, Hammer Drills, Circular Saw, Band Saw, Reciprocating Saw, Cutters-Crimpers, Soldering Tools…) * The individual shall be familiar with operating some construction site equipment and be familiar with basic fall protection safety guidelines. (Ladders, Scissor Lift and Boom Lifts up to 100 feet…) * Should have good hand eye coordination and dexterity, experienced with soldering and crimp type connections for both wire and RF Cable. * Ability to read and discern installation/technical manuals, as well as basic site plans. * Personable with a diverse group of people. * Team player to help accomplish an overall goal. * Have and maintain a professional appearance. * Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. * Background checks are part of the hiring process, which may include a Motor Vehicle Check.
