We are equipment agnostic, and our solutions incorporate leading technologies such as mobile robots, automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), automated guided vehicles (AGV), goods-to-person technology, sortation, and conveyor. KPI currently has approximately 200 FTEs and $150m revenue with growth expected to double in size (at a minimum) through organic and acquisitive activities.

We are looking for an experienced Installation and Service Technician to support continued material handling growth in the greater Wilkes-Barre region. The installation and Service technician will deliver exceptional customer service through the installation of various material handling projects (conveyor, racking, overhead cranes, etc.) and continued service of this assets.

1. Coordination and oversight of projects by working with engineering, sales, and customer contacts.

2. Establish service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; and completing small installation projects independently.

3. Coordinating third party contractors as needed to provide required services on-site as needed.

4. Maintain rapport with customers by examining their needs; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.

5. Servicing existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigate & resolve customer issues or problems

6. Maintenance of KPI associated assets trucks, tools & supplies. This will include preventative maintenance of equipment.

7. Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

8. Install and service various materials handling equipment including conveyor, racking, shelving, cranes, etc.


  • Prior experience in construction, mechanical installation, or service-based role preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Must have experience in automation.
  • Welding skills beneficial, but not mandatory.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand prints.
  • Must have basic project management skills and ability to take initiative and work independently
  • The ability to use power and hand tools.
  • Strong communication skills; written and oral.
  • Reliable & punctual
  • Valid PA drivers license
  • Low-Voltage electric experience beneficial, but not mandatory.
  • 20% - Out of state travel
  • This position has an expectation of occasional evening and weekend work. Including scheduled on-call shifts for emergency support.
  • Overtime and weekend work required.
  • Must be able to lift 70+ lbs.

JOB SUMMARY The Lab Technician, working in an accredited commercial laboratory in Pittston, PA, is responsible for performing various laboratory functions such as preparing media and/or samples of a variety of sample types for analysis, performing routine laboratory maintenance efforts, and is responsible for basic set up and operation of laboratory instrumentation and equipment to support exceptional Customer Experience (CX). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Following established SOP's, Laboratory Technicians ensure customer satisfaction by supporting laboratory staff through executing various entry level laboratory duties, resulting in the timely and accurate reporting of data * Gather appropriate materials needed to prepare and analyze test samples * Sample receipt, login, storage and disposal * Prepare necessary standards, solutions, media, etc., that are required for sample analyses * Perform basic equipment and instrumentation set up and operation * Execute routine laboratory maintenance efforts, such as glassware cleaning and sterilization, and ensuring the laboratory is well maintained * Accurately record observations and data * Maintain accurate, up to date logs, notebooks and equipment records * Perform necessary laboratory administrative functions such as filing paperwork, photocopying, reviewing of data, and entering data into computerized LIMS * Comply with and promote Personnel, Safety, and Quality Program * Other duties as assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * High School Diploma * Ability to work with small vials, test tubes and delicate laboratory equipment * Ability to apply basic algebraic concepts to perform basic laboratory calculations and accurately measure substances, liquids and/or solutions * Ability to read and apply established protocols and SOP's to daily objectives * Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands and working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
