The Install Supervisor provides strategic guidance and mentoring to direct and indirect reports within the branch.
This individual will work directly with the install team to ensure that install activity meets contract, engineering and customer requirements, while achieving branch financial revenue and cost plans.
The main activities of this position are to train, coach and mentor STANLEY Field Install Technicians, providing expert technical assistance to resolve technical roadblocks during active installs. Responsibilities include involvement in hiring, training, reviewing and developing all technician associates.
A focus on achieving and promoting the Stanley Standards culturally to enhance overall business performance is key to this role as well.
Duties And Responsibilities
Meet or exceed branch installation goals including: job completion, technician utilization, incoming business, sales, expense/revenue ratio, margin rates, etc.
Contribute to a Customer Focused environment which achieves ultimate customer service/satisfaction while meeting/exceeding branch targets, STANLEY Standard and other performance KPIs and financial targets.
Form and lead high performing teams and contribute to branch efforts to source, hire, train and develop talent.
Build and foster positive relationships with Sub-Contractors to effectively coordinate labor needs to compliment internal staff on job sites
Partner with Vendors to coordinate and facilitate training, certification and technical support for the team.
Lead Technicians and monitor all work of both technicians and subcontractors contributing technical assistance.
May conduct tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational.
May troubleshoot new system installations to ensure proper functioning and to ensure system meets local, county, state or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.
Ensure all safety guidelines are followed and that the company is in compliance with all regulatory rules and regulations.
Mentor and coach technicians on the proper techniques, working safely, customer service and overall performance and skill development. May have responsibility for OPR 2.0 completion.
Champion, educate and implement and/or continue to develop the STANLEY Standard processes within the branch and ensure all technicians perform to these processes and metrics. This may include but not limited to facilitating and participating in regular STANLEY Standard huddles, performing required Tech ride-alongs and other activities as needed.
Analyze, develop and implement systems and process productivity enhancements.
Ensure all actions of the company are accomplished in an ethical and prudent manner.
Keep Branch Management informed of the status of projects.
Maintains company property and documentation in accordance with established policies, handles proprietary information in the prescribed manner, and adheres to and supports Stanley CSS policies and procedures including all safety requirements.
Drives ongoing employee recognition for performance utilizing our STANLEY Security Reward & Recognition programs including but not limited to peer/employee recognition WIN awards, quarterly ACHIEVERS Awards and the Annual Champion Awards.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Vocational/Technical Degree/Certification in aligned area of study preferred (computers, electronical, electronics, engineering, computer networking etc.)
5+ years' experience in the electronic security industry preferred
Lenel, Pro-Watch, genetic, Milestone and Software House, certifications highly preferred
Possess an understanding of job financial reports and the ability to apply these to cost containment in managing projects
Demonstrated ability to conduct weekly meetings and report on project activity
Knowledge of project management, resources allocation, technician utilization and cost control
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to function as an effective team leader capable of motivating a team
Excellent planning, coordination and scheduling skills
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Proven problem-solving skills
Detailed oriented, results driven, self-motivated individual with a strong customer focus orientation
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects
Candidates must be technically adept and have experience with common Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
A valid state driver's license, without restrictions is required.
This job operates in a professional office environment as well as various customer sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, smart phones, photocopiers, and other office machines. This position also supports a team spread out among a region. The job incumbent must be able to travel to job sites (including new constructions sites) where various working conditions exist. Incumbent must hold a valid driver's license.
