Ensure the protection of the Company's right of way corridors and facilities in a professional, responsive and consistent manner. Observe all safety precautions relevant to work tasks. Ensure that safe operations are promoted by both Company personnel and external resources. Serves as the on-site Company representative and must be prepared to independently resolve day to day issues concerning assigned areas of right of way. Solves a variety of daily project-related issues and communicates solutions to work team
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Ensures the protection of Colonial Pipeline Company right of way corridors and facilities through inspections and consistent monitoring of right of way areas.
Monitor threatening activities near Company's ROW. Ensure consistency in day to day third party encroachment activities.
Inspect encroachments and defend the Company's easement rights using applicable procedures
Perform surface right of way surveillance and inspections.
Inspect block valves and shorted casings.
Perform rectifier readings.
Understand and complete all applicable Company forms.
Monitor right of way maintenance, mowing and reclaiming.
Maintain alliances with external customers to facilitate the accomplishment of Colonial's Right of Way goals
Ensure compliance of all legal requirements pertaining to "call before you dig" laws, DOT compliance and other excavation activities. Locate lines and respond to property owner/resident inquiries as needed.
Train/mentor others as assigned.
Plan and schedule activities for assigned team members.
Inspect work performed by assigned team members and/or contractors.
Perform emergency response reconnaissance
Finalize clearing of one call tickets

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Physical mobility to sit, stand, reach, pull, push, and bend.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., unassisted.
Ability to work in non-permit required confined spaces.
Ability to verbally communicate by two-way radio, especially during emergency response.
Traverse uneven terrain to reach secluded right-of-way.
Normal visual acuity to perform duties of position.
Drive company and personal vehicles for picking up materials, to get around large facilities in minimum time, and to travel to locations away from headquarter point.
Ability to detect the presence of petroleum products by smell.
May be required to use the following tools in the course of their duties: PC, calculator, phone, 2-Way radio, emergency equipment, line locator, safety equipment, GPS, hand tools, UT tester, gauges, tapping machinery
