Job Title: Inspector

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs inspection, based on sampling procedures, of incoming / outgoing materials or components, in-process materials, or components, or finished goods.

• Collects and compiles data based on said inspections.

• Complies with Eastlake Policies and Procedures, and with functional and cosmetic quality standards.

• Promotes quality awareness; promotes advancements in quality culture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs inspections of raw materials, purchased parts, vendor-supplied components, work-in-process components, assemblies, or finished products according to established standards using physical, mechanical, or electrical measurements.

• Identifies and communicates components or processes that are performing at substandard yield.

• Accepts, rejects, or quarantines product as required according to established standards and protocols.

• Accurately documents the results of the inspection/testing.

• Works with Production Management and Quality to provide feedback to work associates regarding non-compliance issues.

• Required to maintain an appropriate, clean, and safe work environment.

PRE-DETERMINED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Regular Attendance.

• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, measure devices (micrometers, calipers, etc.)

• Mechanical and Manufacturing Process aptitude. (Ability to read blueprints & material certifications)

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work autonomously.

• Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures. Ability to evaluate established

• tolerances and standards (whether descriptive or based on actual measurements).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit or stand for 8 consecutive hours.

• Ability to perform repetitive work.

• Ability to safely lift 40 lbs. unassisted.

• Maintain an appropriate, clean and safe work environment.

• Ability to bring items into sharp focus visually, ability to feel and detect subtle material defects.

• Frequent kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, reaching, and pushing carts.

• Complies with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

• Exposure to manufacturing environment, including dust, noise, and vibration.

Salary Description

$15.54 - $19.16
