Purpose:

• Inspect production parts to determine compliance with drawings, instructions, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and production material to confirm that it conforms to specifications.

• Conduct random visual and measurement tests at each station.

• Inspect and approve reworked parts.

• Check operator Process Control Records (PCRs) to ensure that the company quality policy is being upheld.

• Document quantities produced, rework, and scrap.

• Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner to include returning tools to designated areas

• Adheres to established policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations

• Notifies management of product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions and/or personal injuries.

Qualifications

• Competent in using basic measuring devices and able to learn how to use more complicated measuring tools.

• Familiarity with ISO and API standards is highly desirable.
