About The Role

The Insights & Analytics Team is an important enabling capability for the firm. Over half of the firm's revenue is driven by client engagements that involve some form of Insights & Analytics work. The Insights & Analytics team members work to define the problems, design an approach, and interrogate often complex, multi-sourced, data to identify fresh insights that lead to uncommon growth opportunities.

This Insights & Analytics role uses qualitative and quantitative market research, analytic methods, and business knowledge to design, build, and interpret market research and analytical models to meet client business objectives. You will lead a project team across all phases of insight development - understanding client objectives, research design, execution, analysis, and insight development. The role uses a deep understanding of developing customer empathy via qualitative and quantitative market research, secondary data and analytical methods to address project team and client goals.

Your Day to Day

  • The Insights & Analytics Senior Manager will help lead our multidisciplinary teams, focusing on:

  • Defining and framing client situations into clear, answerable research and analytics questions.

  • Creating the most effective approach to conduct source-agnostic research and analysis using a combination of trend reports, client data, primary and secondary research, qualitative and quantitative sources and other digitally sourced data (i.e., web, mobile).

  • Pulling insights through an iterative process with the team to answer these questions and form strategic recommendations.

  • Leading day-to-day problem-solving with both junior and senior team members, as well as with client teams.

  • Delivering complex statistical models, including but not limited to segmentation, DCM, and regression models.

  • Managing vendors to execute and field often multi-faceted research qualitative and quantitative research.

  • Mentoring junior talent, including providing on the job training, coaching and career development

  • Participation in IP creation and practice building and contributing to firm initiatives

  • Identifying opportunities and active participation in Business Development, helping grow our business with both existing and new clients

Insights Senior Managers must be able to tolerate confusion, leverage and utilize others around them, ask intelligent questions to get to the root of the issue and be inclusive of others' points of view.

  • A strong communicator - a high degree of comfort drawing well-supported insights from complicated data sets to influence and convey a point-of-view to senior-level members of the Prophet team and client leadership.

  • An excellent project master - a high degree of comfort managing multiple stakeholders, strong collaboration and teamwork skills, and a problem-solver with a results orientation.

  • Ability to identify opportunities and sell work that grows our business with new and existing clients

  • A growth mindset - willing to explore new or divergent approaches, continuously looking to learn and grow, patience and empathy in training and supporting junior talent

  • Bachelor's degree (or above) with a strong background in business, marketing, market research, or behavioral sciences (e.g., Sociology, Cultural Anthropology, Behavioral Economics, Decision Sciences, etc.)

  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience delivering research and analytics projects in fast-paced, client-oriented environments - the ideal candidate will have a combination of client-side, vendor/consultant, and/or agency experiences

  • Extensive experience defining a problem, designing an approach, and leveraging a variety of sources of data (primary, secondary, third party) to answer the question

  • Deep experience applying cutting-edge qualitative and quantitative market research techniques and/or econometrics modeling to a variety of marketing issues

  • A strong set of research skills and first-hand experience with a range of qualitative and quantitative techniques, including, but not limited to, 1:1 interviews/IDIs, focus groups, ethnographies, concept testing, positioning exploration or validation, benefit testing, consumer or shopper segmentation analysis, need state segmentation, conjoint or discreet choice-based methods, experimental design

  • A demonstrable track record of leading client relationships and delivering quality engagements that result in long-standing client relationships and repeat client engagements, including contributing to business development and selling

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills around complex business issues

  • Extensive experience in working with junior talent on training, mentoring and career development

  • Experience managing and fostering strong vendor relationships

  • Demonstrated familiarity with digitally sourced data (text analytics, website click data, attribution modeling across traditional and digital media, etc.)

  • Willing to be located in NYC, Chicago or Austin

Location: Austin, Chicago, or New York (Hybrid Model)

Salary: $165,000 - $220,000
