Responsibilities

The Insight & Marketing Analytics Manager is responsible for providing a deeper insight into and understanding of HomeServe USA's customers and prospects through demographic profiling and other analytical techniques. This position supports the marketing department by improving campaign response rates, and reports into the Vice President of Database Marketing.

  • Build, test and implement predictive data models and segmentations for use in HomeServe USA's marketing campaigns to improve response rates and reduce marketing cost of acquisition.

  • Produce analyses of HomeServe's customers and prospects through demographic profiling and segmentation, which improves marketing effectiveness.

  • Produce detailed campaign response analysis and provide recommendations to improve marketing campaign results.

  • Source alternative sources of data to enhance marketing campaigns and maximize the number of households that can be offered HomeServe products.

  • Manage HomeServe's strategic data partner (currently Experian) and HomeServe's associated data tables and refreshes.

  • Present high quality analyses in a range of formats, suitable for audiences in all levels of the business.

  • Manage market research projects, including the preparation of research briefs, selection of vendors and production of data for surveys and focus groups.

  • Source and manage substantiated facts and information for use in HomeServe's marketing materials.

  • Provide recommendations and advice to the Marketing Planning & Analysis team on implementing targeting models, data selections and other strategies to improve campaign performance.

  • Produce marketing data for campaigns under the So Cal, Cal Water and Aqua brands, and provide back-up support for AARP campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (mathematics/statistics/economics/computing or other numerical-based degree) or five years relevant work experience

  • Highly numerate and analytical

  • Ability to explain complex analysis to all levels within the business

  • Two year's work experience in a marketing analytics role

  • Experience of building predictive data models using demographic data

  • SAS experience (ideally two years+ in a commercial environment)

  • Strong Microsoft Excel ability

  • Strong written communication and presentation skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
