PerkinElmer is actively looking for Lead Development Representatives to join our growing team in Shelton, CT! You will act as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams. We're looking for a results-oriented, highly organized candidates with incredible communications skills. Serving as the first contact that prospects talk with, you are responsible for providing a great first impression while understanding business objectives, and ultimately feeding insights, gathered from your conversations, back to the sales organization. You will be measured by your speed of engagement, creating opportunities accepted by sales, as well as pipeline created and won.

Lead Development Representatives are front-line team members in PerkinElmer's demand generation marketing program.

Responsibilities include:

  • Promptly respond to marketing qualified leads within established SLAs (service level agreements)

  • Evaluate these 'qualified leads' from omni-channel marketing activities against Budget, Authority, Need & Timing (BANT) criteria

  • Review database of 'pre-qualified leads' for high potential prospects; conduct outreach and stimulate interest in PerkinElmer Products and Services

  • Maintain active engagement with prospects using creative follow-up communication

  • Meticulously track all Prospect insight in Salesforce to support sales teams with solid prospect background, including validation of interest, potential pain or critical issue, decision making authority and ensuring accurate contact information

  • Collaborate with sales to create a seamless hand-off experience of qualified opportunities

  • Convert qualified leads to sales opportunities and transfer to territory aligned Sales representatives; conduct hand-over/briefing calls with Sales representatives, setting Sales up for successful first prospect conversations

  • Provide a positive, engaging experience for all prospective customers through natural conversation that reflects an understanding of the prospect's business and needs

  • Work closely with marketing team to drive continuous improvement in lead quality, conversion rates, pipeline creation and revenue generation

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 2 years of professional work experience in a sales environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience using CRM

  • Phenomenal people skills, with excellent phone presence

  • Ability to verbally and quickly connect with a wide variety of science-oriented business professionals at all levels

  • Positive, energetic and optimistic attitude with a passion for winning

  • Comfortable and natural approach to objection handling

  • Excellent organization and follow up skills, with extremely strong attention to detail

  • Team oriented with ability to thrive in a fast-paced and energy filled environment

  • Persistence to get the job done with willingness to learn and adapt on a daily basis

Posting Address Hubbell Incorporated 40 Waterview Drive Shelton, CT 06804 * KH #LI-KH1 Position Overview The Inside Sales Representative will ensure prompt, courteous and efficient processing of Hubbell Sales Team inquiries related to orders, quotations, technical product support and systems support for all internal Hubbell customers. The Representative will be responsible to provide both primary and secondary support for various functional areas within the department including (Technical Service, Customer Service, Value Add and Quotations). In addition, the selected individual will be responsible for developing a working knowledge about the various aspects and secondary factors affecting customer service in order to support and proactively improve the department as a whole. As the principal point of contact between Territory Manager (TM) and the department, the Inside Sales Representative is recognized as performing a vital function in the chain of customer satisfaction and service improvement. Duties and Responsibilities * Expand upon existing knowledge of the electrical industry, competitive market and the sales process to work as a team with field sales to ensure optimum service to each account. Enhance the Territory Manager (TM) effort by developing strong service ties with assigned customer base and providing feedback and follow-up on significant quotations, key contacts at distributors and end users, sales leads, potential problems, trends, competition, policy and product updates. * Handles incoming calls relative to taking inquiries, new orders, order changes, order cancellations, incorrect shipments, requests for proof of delivery, verification of shortages and invalid/discontinued/suggested replacement items. Provide price and delivery as required. * Coordinate the information flow between TM and other departments to efficiently handle and respond to; customer orders, expedite requests, technical/product questions, quotations (new and renewal), return/credit requests, new customer applications, product modifications, literature & sample requests, and general inquiries. * Review orders for accuracy and correct as needed, documenting changes for future reference. Promptly acknowledge all orders to customers highlighting corrections and lead times. Track production dates and trace shipments. Skills and Experience * Four-year college degree preferred with a minimum of 2 years of customer service / sales support experience or High School diploma with a minimum of 10 years of related customer service, sales support, pricing and technical support experience within the electrical industry. * Good working knowledge of salesforce is required. * Inside or Outside Sales experience is required. * Must have excellent attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
