Huttig Building Products is seeking an experienced candidate to lead our sales team. Huttig has been one of nation's largest wholesale distributors of specialty building products and millwork for over 133 years. With a vast selection of some of the industry's top building products and millwork- including doors, windows, columns, decking, and more- we provide our dealers with top-of-the-line products from the best supplier brands in the country.

The Inside Sales Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the Insides Sales Representatives, while functioning as liaison between Outsides Sales Representatives and customers. They are responsible for effectively communicating any special requests, pricing needs, marketing opportunities or unusual circumstances to Sales team and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers; convert inbound inquiries into actual sales.

  • Monitor technical and business objections for prospective customers.

  • Manage salable features, quotes prices, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained.

  • Monitor estimated date of delivery to customer based on product knowledge, order processing, production, and delivery schedules.

  • Prepare daily reports of business transactions.

  • Oversee the new customer data entry and other sales data for current customers into computer database.

  • Investigate and resolve of customer complaints to maintain positive customer relationships.

  • Communicate with buyers on product shortages or quality issues.

  • Implement and comply with required company policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for timely and effective performance management and conflict resolution efforts for the Inside Sales team.

  • Additional duties may be assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required

  • 2-4 years' of sales related experience and/or training required

  • Experience with millwork and building materials industry preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite- Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (intermediate or advanced)

  • Develop and maintain relationship with new and existing customers

  • Experience working in a sales driven environment

  • Calculate figures and amounts regarding sales and the application of basic algebra concepts

  • Effectively communicate with sales team and leadership

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • Day shift

  • 8 hour shift

  • Monday to Friday

Location

  • Temporarily remote due to COVID-19
