We have an exciting opportunity for an Inside Sales Specialist to join our HOLE team. This position is responsible for developing relationships with customers, gathering requirements, and negotiating terms to provide products to a wide variety of industries and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers via phone calls and emails

  • Identify and investigate customer requirements and provide solutions to meet their needs

  • Make accurate, rapid cost calculations to provide customers with quotations

  • Negotiate the terms of agreements and close sales

  • Provide superior customer service to increase sales opportunities

  • Advise on forthcoming product developments and upsell special promotions

  • Check quantities in inventory and order progress with suppliers

  • Gather market and customer information to providing feedback on future buying trends

  • Identifying new markets and business opportunities

  • Aim to meet or exceed sales targets

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent sales experience preferred.

  • An enthusiastic sales professional with industrial/technical product sales, B2B sales, or strong customer service experience.

  • Strong math skills and the ability to learn technical product applications

  • Computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel and ability to type 40 WPM

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong team player with the ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Ability to demonstrate creativity and initiative in a sales environment

  • High level of professionalism with strong attention to detail

We are looking for an Inside Sales Rep. to join our sales team in Elk Grove Village, IL. The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible to develop and service key accounts working in conjunction with the Inside Sales Manager and Outside Sales Representatives to meet the needs and expectations of all Petersen customers and potential customers. * Develop and maintain customer relationships making customer satisfaction top priority * Provide timely support via phone and/or email in response to customer inquiries including but not limited to entering RFQ's, orders and RMA's, expediting, and providing product data * Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines * Contribute to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner * Responsible for order entry of customer purchases orders into Metalware and validating data integrity * Pro-actively manage backlog to ensure scheduled deliveries are met and track open quotes and projects with key customers * Verifies lead times on purchases orders and communicate to the customer * Support requests from outside sales representatives and sales managers to ensure customer needs are met * Interacts with internal departments (credit and production) to ensure customers' expectations are communicated and met * Ability to anticipate issues and work with cross-functional resources for problem resolution * Prepares documentation as needed and handle all documents and correspondence professionally and in a timely manner * Keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry and open accounts * Assist in determining the correct product for the project or applications * Continuously acts as voice of customer, making sure expectations are aligned from internal resources to the end-customer, escalating as needed * Training and mentorship of other team members as necessary * Minimal travel to local trade shows or customer visits. * High School/GED required; Associates preferred * 2 to 5 years of experience in roofing industry, architectural metal sales or similar construction industry is required * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings preferred * Understanding of basic math, reading and writing skills Carlisle Syntec, Inc.
