Inside Sales Representative

Trinity Rail is hiring an Inside Sale Representative, for our Fort Worth, TX location!

This person will be responsible for analyzing customer requests for aftermarket railcar parts to determine the specific components that will satisfy the customer's needs. This includes researching industry and company databases to identify the specific railcars and past orders that were involved and utilizing engineering databases and document archives to identify the Trinity parts that should be ordered to fulfill the demand.

What you'll do:

• Receive initial contact from the customer requesting railcar parts for specific leased cars built by Trinity

• Gather appropriated data to begin research to quote customers

• Prepare proposals and quotes for customers from established pricing; initiates development of prices through RFQ when not available

• Coordinate order entry into an automated data handling system

• Receive customer inquiries concerning shipment problems, order changes, invoice variations, etc.

• Resolve issues by coordinating with company personnel; responds to customers and implements corrective action as needed

• Generate paperwork concerning customer orders, shipments, etc.

• Assure that research projects are properly archived and indexed to support future research activities

• Read schematic drawings and problem-solves to determine correct part(s) to quote with accuracy

• Establish and maintains effective relationships with customers and company personnel

• Demonstrate knowledge of automated data handling systems from a user's perspective

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment

• Thorough understanding of sales and cost estimation processes

• Well-developed customer service skills with internal/external customers

• Positive attitude, motivated, results-oriented, resourceful
