Location Profile:

Headquartered in Irvine, CA, Shur-Lok manufactures fastening systems with superior locking devices for critical requirements including engine module assembly, structural assembly, rotor blade attachment, and aircraft engine shaft and spindle applications. Operations at the Irvine location include CNC Machining, CNC Waterjet Cutting, Laser Marking, Heat Treating, NDT, and EDM.

Position Summary:

Responds to customer's calls, and resolves order problems within assigned territory and product category, ensuring that good customer relations are maintained at all times. Completes all necessary follow-up, including documentation and coordination. Handles confidential pricing structure data and customer account data. Accuracy and consistency in quoting prices to customers is essential to protect the company's financial interests and good customer relations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Quotes customer prices for various product lines after checking database for pricing information.

  • Coordinates with Estimator or Inside Sales Manager for appropriate prices or to correct inconsistencies in pricing.

  • Investigates and resolves problems concerning manufacturing ship dates. Acts as a liaison between the company and customer to expedite orders.

  • Communicates clearly, courteously and professionally with customers, distributors and other business contacts.

  • Completes both company and customer documentation, such as P.O.'s, to ensure final order is correct.

  • Completes all documentation in a timely manner that meets bid close dates.

  • Coordinates with various departments to ensure continuity of pricing, shipping, and delivery dates.

  • Facilities product returns and invoice adjustment.

  • Processes and makes adjustments for returned goods be entering orders, credits, etc., to customer files.

  • Complies with all company policies and safety rules.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to read and interpret business related documentation

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working with outside customers to find resolutions for inquiries

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and Customer Portal Applications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Administration highly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a business to business sales environment
