How will you make an impact? (responsibilities)

Working as part of the inside sales team, you will execute MGICs business channel strategies by developing and maintaining relationships with MGIC customers. You will support existing sales and marketing activities through the assignment of specific accounts. You will uncover and respond to customer needs and provide problem-solving services via MGIC products (mortgage insurance) and value-added services. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Prepares account management plans, maintains account profiles, works to locate and acts as key contact for new customers.

  • Responds to leads and prospects for new business. Researches and initiates contact with potential customers in support of MGICs business development goals.

  • Keep current on industry and MGIC products, guidelines, trends and market conditions.

  • Updates sales database to document calls, inquiries, and resolutions to be viewed by manager and sales management

  • Customize and conduct webinars for customers

  • Represent MGIC at industry events where appropriate

  • Identify key opportunities of value to bring to assigned accounts and develop solutions independently

  • Lead efforts and execute on strategic projects assigned by Manager or Lead ISR

Do you have what it takes? (requirements)

  • Completion of a Bachelors Degree with emphasis on marketing or communications

  • More than 3 years experience in a sales related role, either inside or outside sales, with proven ability to manage own accounts. Experience working in the mortgage insurance industry preferred.

  • Knowledge of effective sales and marketing principles and practices

  • Ability to analyze needs, recognize potential issues, research alternatives, provide solutions and work through to completion.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver value-add training to customers via multiple training platforms (webinars, live presentations, etc.)

  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills and strong organization skills

  • Professional demeanor when interacting with customers via phone or in person, with proven ability to develop relationships

  • Ability to travel up to 10%
