Inside Sales Representative

EnergySage is a marketplace (think Airbnb, Expedia, etc.) that allows consumers to find and compare solar products and installers. The ISR is the primary point of contact for business owners who are in the market for energy management systems (solar, storage, heating & cooling, etc.). You will help prospects understand their options and guide them through the EnergySage shopping journey -- making a huge impact on the world while doing it. ISRs are key voices inside the company -- often joining important projects that lead to newly-developed consumer experiences.

This is a high-growth role, with substantive base salary plus uncapped variable compensation.

What You'll Do:

  • Building foundation for a new team to support EnergySage's new sales initiatives.

  • Define and execute account/territory plans and then meet and exceed sales goals (quotas) through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities within the assigned territory (all net new business)

  • Run demand generation campaigns; Develop and manage sales pipeline - prospect and assess new sales potential while moving several transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline

  • Supporting new sales initiatives with a focus in helping consumers with their home or business electrification journeys

  • Manage and track customer and transactional information in Hubspot

  • Coordinate and collaborate with resources throughout the sales cycle, including internal teams and our installer network

  • Provide regular reporting of pipeline and forecast to management on a weekly basis

  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products

  • Practice effective communication with management, customers, Installers and support staff

  • Participate in team building and company‐growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts and customer support

  • Ability to work in a high energy, fast‐paced sales environment

What We Look For:

  • Self-starter capability comfortable with ambiguity as we are in the "build" phase

  • Solar and commercial and industrial electrification products and services and/or more broad B2B experience preferred.

  • Strong ability to influence others and move a prospect through a sales funnel

  • Min 3 years quota-carrying sales experience, including prospecting and dealing with complex sales cycles generating six figure deals in the home and/or business electrification market.

  • Strong understanding in building CRM workflows (HubSpot preferred)

  • Consistent over achievement of sales goals in a large geographic territory

  • Resilience and competitive drive -- desire to get better every day
